  1. lovely story. I think that forgive someone is a difficult act when we feel a lot hate and vengeance. the grandson is a noble person because he put his feeling and compaction over the normal society.

I disagree with death penalty because we could not build a better world when we act in the same bad way. the vengeance does not calm down our pains and neither reduce that crime. if you murder someone, you will be killed. that is not for a modern civilization.it is the most simple solution for that big problem. we are intelligent people. Therefore, we may solve this situation with another different human and reasonable way.

  2. I agree with the death penalty. I think life is the most beautiful and precious thing in the world. People do not have right to take others’ lives away. If they do, they have to pay in the equivalent way. Moreover, the primary aim of death penalty is to prevent the murder before it happens, but not only to punish criminals. Based on several surveys, death is still the most fearful punishment to criminals. Thus, people will think twice before they murder a victim when the death penalty exists.

I agree with the decision that the victim’s grandson made. I was very moved by this story and his talk. It is very hard for a person to forgive someone who killed his relative. Forgiveness sometimes can bring more positive impacts to individuals and our society. However, in the views of crime prevention and justice, I still think that the death penalty has its own value in the judicial system.

  3. I disagree with the death penality, because first many people were killed and they were innocent, the justice is not infallible at 100%. Mistakes happen especially in the US if the presumed criminal is black, latinos or indian and poor. Second I think it's a bad answer to respond a crime by a crime. The criminals have to pay for their act obviously, but I think to be deprive of liberties it's worst than to die, and during this time they can think about their act.

The grandson's behavior is incredible. I think, in this case, I would be unable to do that. Maybe it's good for him, because he doesn't have hatred any more, but she killed his grandmother, and it was not a mistake she injured her 33 times. She doesn't deserve to be free at all. He says that she saw remorse, really if I were him I don't care, it's to late.
